Justin G. Nelson
Justin G. Nelson is a multi-talented singer-dancer-actor from the vibrant city of Memphis, TN. His journey in the performing arts began with electrifying show choir performances, igniting a fervent passion that has propelled him through large-scale musical productions and beyond. Justin attributes much of his artistic development to the guidance and support of his dedicated teachers and mentors over the years.
Having pursued his academic endeavors at Middle Tennessee State University, Justin holds a degree in Vocal/General Music Education. Eager to delve deeper into his craft, he furthered his education at the University of Memphis, where he earned a Masters of Arts in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Musical Theater and Film.
Justin's talent and dedication have not gone unnoticed, as evidenced by his recognition with the inaugural Gypsy Award for ensemble dancer at the prestigious Ostrander Awards in Memphis, TN, in 2013. He is also a proud member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Music Fraternity of America, further cementing his commitment to musical excellence and fraternity brotherhood.
In addition to his accomplishments in the performing arts, Justin is a member of Forbes BLK, a community dedicated to empowering Black voices and leaders in various industries. Beyond the stage and screen, Justin has channeled his creative energies into building several innovative brands, including Earthy and Cultured, Nelson Design Lab, The Detailed Gentleman, and Second Pew Podcast, in collaboration with Ebone Amos. Aside from content creation, Justin also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Memphis in the College of Professional and Liberal Studies.
Not content to excel in his artistic endeavors, Justin is a passionate advocate for mental health awareness. He uses his platforms to promote understanding and support for those facing mental health challenges. He continually seeks out new opportunities to expand his brands and further his impact as a multi-hyphenate artist, driven by his unwavering passion for life and creativity.
